We are Split Rock - a "local" band, founded in late 2005, and comprised of members from Lake Placid, and Saranac Lake, NY. We come from varied and diverse musical backgrounds, and we celebrate them all.
Our music can best be described as
"lighter Classic Rock, with a touch of Americana & Folk"

We play a selection of songs that can fit just about any venue - from restaurants to private parties, from bars to outdoor family oriented events and concerts. A typical set might include songs from Tom Petty, Van Morrison, The Grateful Dead, Bob Dylan, The Eagles, The Moody Blues, The Beatles,... and even an original. Another interesting aspect is that our drummer plays an electronic drum kit (his sound comes out of an amplifier!). This allows the entire band to play at any volume that is required.

Split Rock has performed at The Lake Placid Center for the Arts, The Waterhole, Zig-Zags Pub, Lake Placid BBQ Festival, Wilmington Town Beach, The LP Bandshell, The Crowne Plaza, ORDA events, Romano's in Saranac Lake, Tail 'o the Pup, The Northwoods Inn, Station Street Bar and Grille, The Pines Inn, BlueSeed Studios, and others.
